Privacy Policy
LOC ("the app") is a professional field tool used by technicians of KelTech IoE and its customers to scan, create, assign and manage NFC cable labels and related asset records. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how you can exercise your rights. Using the app requires an account provisioned by KelTech IoE or your employer; the app is not intended for consumers or children.
Data we collect and why

The app reads NFC tags and communicates with an optional Bluetooth RFID pen. These identify equipment (cable labels), not people. The app does not collect advertising identifiers, does not profile you, and contains no advertising.
Where your data is stored
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) to servers operated by KelTech IoE and hosted on Amazon Web Services in the European Union (Ireland, eu-west-1). When you enable offline mode, a copy of your assigned work data is stored on your device and synchronised back when you reconnect; uninstalling the app removes this local copy.
Sharing
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing or advertising. Data is visible to your employer or the organisation that provisioned your account (asset records are their business records), and to service providers that host our infrastructure (Amazon Web Services; Google Maps for map display, which receives standard map requests from your device).
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Asset records you create belong to the organisation operating your account and are retained according to its requirements. You (or your organisation) can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time; see our account and data deletion page. We answer deletion requests within 30 days. Some records may be retained where the operating organisation requires them for legitimate business or legal reasons; in that case they are disassociated from your personal identity where possible.
Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised KelTech IoE personnel. Sessions expire and require re-authentication.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR where it applies), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us using the details below; we may route requests about business asset records to the organisation that operates your account.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or your organisation.
